For whom?

Scientifically robust, but not only for specialists.

The portal is intended to support scholarly work, but also to give interested users access. Not everyone wants to or can immediately work palaeographically. Even so, the source should not become a black box.

That is why finding, reading and explanation are separated. Specialists can inspect artifacts; other users can read an understandable version - without the scholarly basis becoming invisible.
